At Cofrutos, we are deeply committed to protecting the environment and championing a sustainable model that guarantees the quality of our products while preserving natural resources for future generations. Our Actions

•  Continuous Improvement: We rely on our implemented ISO 14001 and EMAS environmental management systems to systematically reduce our environmental impact and optimize our operations.
• Energy Efficiency & Renewables: We optimize energy consumption across our facilities and processes. By generating a portion of our energy through our own renewable sources, we currently cover approximately 10% of our electrical demand.
• Cleaner Energy Alternatives: We prioritize lower-impact fuels, utilizing Natural Gas and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) as cleaner alternatives to traditional fossil fuels.
• Carbon Footprint Reduction: We are actively monitoring and calculating our carbon footprint. Having already assessed Scopes 1 and 2, our ongoing objective is to advance toward the inclusion and tracking of Scope 3 emissions.
• Water Conservation: We implement advanced water reuse and recycling techniques, including CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems, dry cleaning methods, and closed-loop circuits.
• Waste Management: We drive initiatives focused on waste reduction, reuse, and recycling throughout our operations, while also actively promoting recycling awareness among consumers.
• Resource Efficiency: We are steadfast in our commitment to the responsible sourcing and use of raw materials.

Certified in environmental management since June 2007. 

EMAS (Eco-Management and Audit Scheme)

Integrated Environmental Authorization (AAI)

Cofrutos, S.A. holds an Integrated Environmental Authorization granted in June 2009, with a recent review and adaptation to Best Available Techniques (BATs) updated in March 2025.
